In this festival, art is both public space and the people who constitute it. That is to say that human beings become the matter of art through a multiplicity of crafted social situations and interactions. New Public Art generates a dialogue between our social environment and our perceptions of reality, regarding every communal moment as a performance—we are all performing, all the time.
UNDER THE MOUNTAIN is a week of movement, broadcasts, designed behavior, social interaction, political experiments, knowledge exchange, documentary music and a whole lot of partying. A celebration of art and life in Jerusalem, the beautiful parliament city, capital of the nations and heart of the conflict. Come be the art you want to see in the world. The future is now!
