Just before we wrap up the 2011 Season we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your part in the wonderful summer we have just experienced and to tell you a little bit about what you can expect in the upcoming months.
Now, as we are still glowing from our last event and looking forward to our final two-day dreamlike celebration of children's folklore to be held at the Goldman Promenade, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you, all our partners, for making this wonderful season possible: artists, producers and promoters, cultural institutions and community centers, the Jerusalem Municipality and the Jerusalem Foundation, local institutions and donors.
Our first official Season of Culture is coming to an end and from the market stalls to groundbreaking dance performances, from a Festival of Philosophy to festivals that celebrated New Public Art and some of Jerusalem's most intriguing private homes, from a cutting edge musical performance in the ancient Kishle to Reggae in Gan Sacher and opera in Binyanei Ha'uma, from a night devoted entirely to contact points between artists and artworks to an art magazine dedicated completely to Jerusalem and the unique musical mix of the city's sounds by Kutiman we, and the world at large, were given a unique opportunity to see firsthand, the full range of fascinating and diverse cultural options the city has to offer and to draw renewed energy from this riveting and daring experiment as we move forward to the next Season. Don't worry, preparations are already underway.
Over the next few months, our website will continue to provide you with its own special perspective of what is going on in the city and the world. We will keep you abreast of all our partners, update you on Jerusalem's alternative cultural scene and try our best to provide an alternative viewpoint on the city's creative process, the multiple options it presents and to promote its cultural development.
Feel free to be an active partner, to follow our every move, let us know what you think and to share your ideas with us; after all, without you none of this would have been possible.
See you at the 2012 Jerusalem Season of Culture!
